——THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME
Lae & Jules began in a small town in Cameroon, where a mother handed her daughter a notebook and pencil to keep her occupied. What started as a simple distraction became a lifelong devotion to form, function, and beauty.
When Lae’s mother Jules passed in 2022, she left behind an unopened envelope — a leather bag and a handwritten letter that never arrived. That envelope became Letter to Mama, the first Lae & Jules design.
Every piece we create carries that emotion. Every bag holds a story. Every delivery includes a handwritten note — because some words deserve to be written by hand.
